Fresh snow at Lake Tekapo Let PureTrails take the hassle out of your next ski holiday with our new packaged tour of the magnificent South Canterbury snow fields of Dobson, Roundhill and Ohau. Our tours are scheduled midweek, outside the school holidays, to minimise your exposure to crowded fields. Feel on top of the world and the exhilaration of an empty ski field full of fresh dry powdery snow on the PureTrails Tekapo & Ohau Ski Package!

We collect you from Christchurch, provide all transport to and from South Canterbury, your accommodation in ensuite units, breakfasts and dinners, and transfers to the fields. This leaves you to purchase your own lift pass on the day, taking advantage of special deals and age discounts, and avoiding any outlay for passes on bad weather days. What's more, if you do experience bad weather, our guide and vehicle is ready to take you on an alternative excursion, possibly to the Tekapo Hot Pools, the Hermitage Hotel and Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Museum at Mt Cook, the Kaki/Black Stilt viewing hide in Twizel or the Omarama Hot Tubs to name a few options. We can assist with gear hire, and can offer a flexible programme to take advantage of the best conditions on the right snow field each day. Click here for the itinerary details.

PureTrails has become an 'Official Partner' of Nga Haerenga The New Zealand Cycle Trail in conjunction with the Otago Rail Trail. Nga Haerenga, meaning 'the journeys' (both in a physical and spiritual sense), is a government backed project to open up NZ's fabulous scenery and regions to recreational cyclists, by way of purpose built cycle trails.

Construction is still underway of most of the 18 'Great Rides', and some of the new routes are expected to be open by the summer of 2012/2013.

PureTrails is committed to researching and developing new cycle tour itineraries around the country, both on the new cycle trail routes and in other areas. Watch this space!

Our new Bike Canterbury's Backcountry tour now includes a wagon ride, pulled by a team of Clydesdale horses, at Erewhon Station - 'home of the working horse'.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get up close to these beautiful animals, and experience the stunning scenery and learn the history at Erewhon Station, on a mode of transport rarely seen today.
